Elena Berezina
Elena Berezina, who positions herself as a post folk artist, is a civic activist fromBelarus. In 2020, she spontaneously actualised the motifs of Belarusian malavanka (hand painted carpet) into the format of posters, which seamlessly incorporate the slogans of protest marches.
Participant and organiser of exhibitions in Gomel, Minsk, Polotsk, Warsaw. Currently lives and works in Poland (international protection status).

The interview took place on the occasion of the exhibition "Herzland.Schaft", which presented works of art by exiled Russian and Belarusian artists to the public in Wiesbaden inNovember 2022.
